LoadingStudents searching for degrees are flooded with false opposites. This GMU working paper compares what digital study can and cannot replace: laboratories that need benches, professions that require local placements, and networks that only exist if someone hosts them. We find that GMU’s fully digital model is defensible for management, computing, education studies and many health-management roles, and is not a substitute for a clinical placement the university does not provide. Honesty in the comparison page is a research output, not a legal footnote. GlobalMind University should keep publishing this comparison as research, updated yearly. A global digital university that pretends to be a campus is a different kind of failure from a campus that pretends to be global.
