GMU Climate Observatory Unveils Real-Time Global Greenhouse Gas Telemetry Platform

The School of Earth & Planetary Systems at GlobalMind University has launched 'AtmosphereWatch', a public open-data portal tracking methane plumes and carbon emissions across global manufacturing and energy hubs.

Developed by a distributed team of atmospheric physicists and software engineers across four continents, AtmosphereWatch processes multispectral imagery from public Earth-observation satellites to provide daily emission estimates.

"Independent, peer-verified climate data empowers communities, journalists, and regulators with objective facts," said Lead Scientist Dr. Kenji Takahashi.

Graduate students in GMU's MSc Data Science and Environmental Informatics programmes will utilize the platform for capstone climate telemetry research.
